Kainos Home and Training Center
Residential Living Skills Training
: Residents live in one of five group homes where they receive training in practical living skills through a progressive, systematic program. A 24-hour staff carefully supervises the residents in each home, with an average staff to resident ratio of 1 to 5.

Independent Living Program: Adults who demonstrate an ability to function successfully without supervision in their day-to-day routine are helped by a Kainos staff member who makes regular visits to assess their progress, to fine-tune living skills and to offer help and support.

Vocational Training: A variety of vocational training programs helps participants select an appropriate area of interest.

Supported Employment: This program provides job readiness training, placement, on-the-job training and weekly follow-up visits.

Career Closet - We are an organization designed to empower women to re-enter the workplace equipped with everything they need to make a great first impression and land the job they want.

Our services begin with business attire, but what we really provide is confidence. When our clients walk out our doors after a personal consultation with one of our volunteers, they are prepared to enter the business world with a firm handshake and a smile. Last year, with business clothing and interview advice, we gave over 1,300 women the key to transcending their challenges of poverty, single motherhood, and lack of education. At Career Closet, we work every day believing that behind every successful woman is another woman who believes in her.

Redwood City Education Foundation
We raise private money to provide enrichment programs to all students in Redwood City School District. Our funding is focused on music and art, science, PE, and wellness.
